Vaishnavi Banne’s life is a powerful example of how determination, community support, and the right opportunities can transform challenges into success. Before joining the PSS SAKHI Project, Vaishnavi struggled to support her family with the limited income from her small tiffin service.

With two children to care for and rising household expenses, earning just ₹4,000 per month was not enough to meet her family’s needs. Despite working hard, financial insecurity made it difficult for her to plan a better future for her children.

Everything changed when she became a part of the Utkarsh-Sahyog Entrepreneur Self-Help Group formed under the PSS – SAKHI Projectl. Through the group, Vaishnavi received internal loan support and valuable training in financial literacy and business management.

With this assistance, she expanded her tiffin service, improved the quality of her work, and gained confidence to reach more customers. The guidance from Community Resource Persons (CRPs) and the encouragement of her Self-Help Group played a key role in her growth.

Today, Vaishnavi has successfully doubled her monthly income from ₹4,000 to ₹8,000. What was once a small and struggling business has now become a stable source of livelihood for her family.

More than financial progress, Vaishnavi has gained self-confidence, independence, and respect within her community. She has become an inspiration to other women, proving that with support and hard work, real change is possible.
