Vidya Videsh Mulik is a determined woman who turned life’s challenges into opportunities through hard work
and community support. She runs a small breakfast stall with her husband, selling seasonal snacks and homemade Methi Ladoo. This small venture has become the backbone of her family’s livelihood.
Before joining the PREMANKUR project, Vidya struggled to manage household expenses. Her situation worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic when her husband lost his job. With no stable source of income, sustaining the family became extremely difficult.
Hope arrived when Vidya became a member of the Dwarkamai Entrepreneur Self- Help Group, formed under the PREMANKUR project. Through the group, she received an internal loan of ₹9,000, which helped her set up and expand her breakfast stall. With this support, she was able to restart her business confidently.
Under the guidance of the project, Vidya attended training sessions on financial literacy, business management, and entrepreneurship. Support from Community Resource Persons (CRPs) through regular meetings and counselling strengthened her skills and selfconfidence.
Today, Vidya earns a steady income of ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 per month from her stall. More importantly, she has become financially independent and capable of supporting her family with dignity.
Vidya’s journey reflects the true impact of the PREMANKUR project—empowering women to recognize their potential, become self-reliant, and transform their lives. Her story is an inspiring example of how collective support and the right opportunities can bring meaningful change.
With confidence and support, every woman can create her own success story.
